The Alchemilla Flower Farm began many moons ago as a biodynamic flower farm and floristry studio, initially in the Northern Rivers and later in the South West of Victoria on Gulidjan country.

The Alchemilla Almanac was first published in 2021. The Almanac is a project close to my heart & its origins can be traced back to an early fascination with the moon and the night sky, combined with a childhood spent growing up on a farm cultivating a deep love of the natural world…

When farming and gardening holistically, the focus is not the end point of harvest, but on the creation of a system that supports healthy life from below the soil to the environment and community around it.

Biodynamic agriculture combines ecological and cosmic elements to develop thriving soils, produce, livestock and community. Each farm or garden is viewed as an integrated, living organism that is intrinsically connected with all the elements that make the whole greater than the sum of its parts – not only soils, trees, plants, insects and animals but also, the cosmos, the climate and the community it exists in.
